It’s time to different between a general pain and a pain caused by a cyst

Kidney SpecialistHave you ever felt some pain in your lower body or abdominal region? If it lasts for a day or two, it is fine but if he pain is persistent then it’s time to get yourself checked. There are n- number of causes for the pain and one of them could be kidney cysts. Yes, this is rare but it does happen. What are cysts? They are fluid filled sacs and many cysts together are called as poly cysts. These cysts which are formed in the kidney is usually non-cancerous but it does causes a lot of pain! No patient will visit a kidney specialist first.

He will visit a general physician and if the physician feels that there is something wrong with the body he will ask the patient to consult a kidney specialist. Once you do, he will check all possible symptoms of the pain and if he feels anything about the cysts he will ask the patient to get his sonography done and once he has a clear picture, he will initiate the treatment for the same.

The treatment as a whole for these cysts isn’t done but the complications attached to these cysts are generally managed. A person should be careful that he should not consume any anti-inflammatory medicine like ibuprofen or any other because it might worsen the case. A kidney specialist makes a list of do’s and don’ts for the patients to give them a healthier lifestyle! Such a boon to have excellent specialists! By: Dt. Trishala Chopra

The role of plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery in our lives.

cosmetic surgeon

Cosmetic surgery is the modification of certain parts of our body for beautification purpose only. It helps the person to adulterate and modify perfectly healthy body parts to suit his or her needs or to increment the physical beauty or to decrement any physical pain because of certain body parts. Cosmetic surgery or aesthetic surgery is an important part of plastic surgery. Unlike cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery involves the restoration of deformations, malformations or damaged body parts to the usual and normal form.

Both, plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery has been on the rise in recent years due to many people becoming too much conscious of their selves and their beauty. Their bodily beauty becomes their priority. They even resort to cosmetic surgery when signs of ageing appear on their body. In plastic surgery, more often than not, deformations of the body parts and injuries such as burns or deep cuts are treated and altered and the normal body is restored. This is carried out mainly by skin grafting, a surgical procedure by means of which skin tissue is transferred to the desired location of the body. When the skin is taking from a human being, it is either called autograft (if the donor and recipient is the same), or allograph (when the donor and the recipient are not the same individual). But when it is taken from a creature of a different species, for example a pig, the transplantation technique is termed as xenograft.

We can thus see the futuristic advancements which have been made and which are still moving forward on their way to perfection. Undoubtedly, plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery have removed the problems of, and satisfied millions of individuals all over the globe. By- Rounak Bose

Choosing a doctor who has done his/her specialization in eye care is an important health care decision. An ophthalmologist is a medical practitioner or an expert who specializes in vision and eye care. They have also received their training to perform eye exams and eye surgery. If your eyes are aerobicized and do not require medical or surgical treatment, the type of eye doctor you choose for a routine exam is a matter of personal preference.

Following are the reasons so as to when a person has to visit an ophthalmologist:

  1. Loss of vision or decreased vision in one or both the eyes.

  2. If you notice any sort of vision change such as sudden spots, flashes of light, lightning streaks, or jagged lines of light, wavy or watery vision, blurry faces, distortions, or wavy lines, haloes around lights, double vision.

  3. Field of vision changes such as shadows, curtain- like loss of vision, black spots.

  4. Changes in color vision.

There are many other changes you see in your eyes that shows an indication that it’s high time you must visit an ophthalmologist. Sometime when you wear glasses you observe cloudy vision and able to properly see the distant and nearby objects. Due to defect in eyes you see large black spots; it may lead to complete blindness if not treated properly. By – Medha Choudhary
