Kidney SpecialistHave you ever felt some pain in your lower body or abdominal region? If it lasts for a day or two, it is fine but if he pain is persistent then it’s time to get yourself checked. There are n- number of causes for the pain and one of them could be kidney cysts. Yes, this is rare but it does happen. What are cysts? They are fluid filled sacs and many cysts together are called as poly cysts. These cysts which are formed in the kidney is usually non-cancerous but it does causes a lot of pain! No patient will visit a kidney specialist first.

He will visit a general physician and if the physician feels that there is something wrong with the body he will ask the patient to consult a kidney specialist. Once you do, he will check all possible symptoms of the pain and if he feels anything about the cysts he will ask the patient to get his sonography done and once he has a clear picture, he will initiate the treatment for the same.

The treatment as a whole for these cysts isn’t done but the complications attached to these cysts are generally managed. A person should be careful that he should not consume any anti-inflammatory medicine like ibuprofen or any other because it might worsen the case. A kidney specialist makes a list of do’s and don’ts for the patients to give them a healthier lifestyle! Such a boon to have excellent specialists! By: Dt. Trishala Chopra
